Duty, Honor, and Respect

At Warriors for Christ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy our goal is to share the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a welcoming and family-oriented environment. Most importantly, we strive to teach our students the meaning of duty, honor, and respect on and off the mats. We want to create an environment where everyone can come together to fellowship and build genuine relationships with one another. Through this, our Christian community will then strive to reach out to others for Christ through the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Alvin Tillman, Jr.

Professor Tillman began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 1998 in combative training during his time in the United States Army. In 2000, after completing his enlistment, Alvin got into law enforcement and continued his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training at the Houma BJJ Academy where he officially began ranking in the sport. Professor Tillman received His BJJ Black Belt on December 14, 2014 from Professor Darren McCall, 2nd Degree Black Belt of McCall MMA in Humble, Texas.

Professor Tillman is married to his best friend and partner of 15 years Jessica Tillman. Together they have 3 beautiful children who like their father have come to love and excel in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Tillman has few main objectives that he wants to accomplish with this academy, and that is to let the world know how awesome God truly is. He also wants to help strengthen the family values of each and every student that walks through the doors of the Warriors for Christ BJJ Academy. As a parent, leader, professor, or instructor, we must remember that all eyes are on us, and we must lead by the example that we want others to follow.
